Small car loan w/o a cosigner?

if you have no credit and need a loan to borrow 2 grand then you probably shouldn't be buying a car in the first place. How are you going to afford car insurance and everything else?

most finance companies have a minimum amount to borrow...usually above 5 grand.
so get a credit card, pay it a couple months and then try to get 5k (thats what it is here to) and walk out the door...then walk back in and say i want to make my first payment hand 3k back, got your loan and only pay interest on what you need!

I don't understand the correlation //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif I want the car, I'm 2 grand short. Why does that mean I can't pay for insurance?

Don't they slap interest on right when you get the loan? So if I got the loan for $6300 (the price of the car) and say I had 10% interest (I have no idea what it would be) the loan about would automatically be $7030, correct?

When did no credit mean you were broke? Unless you are getting at the actually needing to borrow two grand, being its not THAT much money //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Actually what you are getting at would be 6930 but we understand //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Well, my bank account is pretty low (for now), but it's not like I can't pay the monthly shit.

And yeah

Why not wait a little while and save the money up? Its not that much.
I don't want to wait that long. It'd take till the end of the year at least I'm sure. Plus I like the car I'm looking at a lot.

I seen the commercial the other day with Gary Coleman for the small unsecured loans on TV the other day and could swear the small print at the bottom said something like 'Average interest rate 99%' //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Reminds me of something our favorite buggy getter would be interested in taking advantage of //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Credit union is what I was told would be my best bet, I bought my first car back in October.

I went through Community Choice Co-op over at 13 Mile and Van Dyke.

My car was $7000, $1900 down, 48 months @ 11.4% interest, no cosigner. And that was the lower interest rate, the first credit union was higher.

Year of previous (spotless) credit (score is in the 700s), 3 years at my current place of employment, and Al Long Ford was still giving me shit, telling me I may need a bigger down payment.

But then I come on here and here all these ridiculous stories about people getting loans with barely any credit and small downpayments?
