doing an install for my friends sister. it's an '02 Yukon.

objection of install:

1. replace door speakers,

2. add sub

3. replace factory HU w/ HU that has iPod connection

4. budget is $500 for everything installed

objections met

1. Cadence Momentum 6.5 comps up front, 6.5 3-way coax in rear

2. Ample Audio ACWD 1500, 15" 300 watt RMS D4

3. Pioneer 3400UB

4. $650 for everything installed is the cheapest I could do

Couple of Pics so far, more to be completed later

looks like the port is going to be real close to the sub. how is that going to affect the loading of the sub. seams like it might make the sub think it's in a smaller box causing a sharp peak around tuning.

then again its just a pick kinda hard to tell how the port will fall and how that will affect the sub

In for the results. What are the specs on the box? Looks like a 6in port, and it sure looks like it will interfere with the sub, unless its going to be really short and for a high tune.

Way to stay within the budget //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

hoping that the sub doesn't interfere with port as the port is rather short and it's an aeroport.

the box is 2.8 cubes net, sub is a single 15" port is a 4" aero. I know that the forum will disapprove of this enclosure for this size woofer but I've done it before and it sounded fine with no port noise issues. the budget was the most difficult part as I needed to make a few dollars for my work and time.

*watching* glwb
thx

finished, i'm a little disappointed in myself for not measuring correctly but I talked to the owner and they are extremely satisfied considering that they were expecting the amp to be thrown somewhere with the wires showing and the box to be black. enough with my whining, here the build.
