are you going to cry?...... haha what problem did you have with your SD? i see many people have good and bad things about them. i honestly love mine

Yes I have ran SD before. That is why I went to cactus. And trust me, if you were in front of me instead of being behind a keyboard, and you told me to shut up, I WOULD DEFINITELY SMACK THE CHIT OUT OF YOU!!!!

Thats all you had to do is ask!!! I had the 18 cap 16k version. Two of them matter of fact. And they both acted up. They were very, very, very unstable. Most amps when at idle, put out next to no power. The SD was putting out 8 volts and two amps!! Thats 16 watts!! AT IDLE!!! And also It would cut off and would make my subs rumble at idle. That is a sure sign that the output side is going down, and it was just a matter of time before it blew. And the current draw at idle....OH MY GOD!!! Lets say with the amp off, batteries sat at 14 volts, amp turned on 13.2 volts. My cactus may drop 0.3 volts. And on music, they did not even compare to Sundown, DD or Cactus.This is the funny part, they would receive radio frequencies. So they were very unstable. Dont get me wrong. If SD fix those problems, it would be a very, very, very strong amp. Because in testing, the SD16k was the strongest amp I have ever tested. In power and spl results. But the instability I could not deal with. Because I have SEEN and HEARD too many people going up in the lanes and thier amp blew just before competing and while thier in the lanes!!

anybody know if you can still buy those mmats HD 4000's?????

seen one over the summer for like $500 (i think)... prolly shoulda grabbed it up!

Someone has one for trade on caco currently. To even consider buying one if they still have it available, you have to have a very good reputation in competitions.
