got a$$ ? ? ?
ok I just finished my box and it is 2.39ft^3 tuned at 35hz . . .heres the problem after I glued and screwed I started thinking about my dimensions and I came to realize that the slot opening is 1.75" wide ok . . . and at the bend the dimension from the back wall to the slot is like 2 1/8" what is this gonna do to my tuning? should I try to get a piece and glue it on to make it 1.75"

I don't know how it will sound but I do know that the proper way to do it is to keep the port size the same throughout the length of it.

I would glue in the block to keep everything the same size.

try it out and see what it sounds like, if you dont like the way it sounds then id do something about it but just try it out first. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

yeah thats what I figure I will do. thnx . **** it, small a$$ oversite somehow 5/8's of an inch and I dont know how the f I miscalculated . I caught it when I went to put the screws in and it was 3.5"s and I deducted the 3/4 board and the 3/8" for half the slot and it sure as he!! wasnt 1.75"s. so I was f~ing fried instantly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

If it makes you feel any better...I did almost the exact same thing. My port is 2" and the back wall of the "L" shape is like 2.5". But it sounds amazing.
well that makes me fell a little better that it still sounded good. I'll find out today how the box is gonna sound, and if it is not good than, I'll fix it , and if not fixable(which I'm pretty sure I can ) than I'll build a new one. sh*t the sheet of mdf was only like $18.99 .
