Slot ports vs round ports

hey guys i was thinking of making a new box for shits and giggles , just a simple question for people who have lots of box making under their belts here.

Do slot ports sound better than round ports?

Round being pvc pipe, plastic ports you get to tune the port to a specfic freq.and also just a round hole in mdf.

Versus the slot port design.What are the qualites of these two designs.

Looking for a intelligent reply not like slot ports ftw,,,,state a reason why they are ''for the win''

from what i know with slot ports you can move more air(depending on the size) no air rush....with a round port it can get louder unless you have a huge slot port like a crawlthrough
