Slot port through rear seat & sub firing toward trunk

WAS wondering how this would sound opposed to sub and port facing trunk..

It obviously would still just be a slot port box, just the port would be firing back and sub facing the rear of trunk..

I have an acura Legend to give a better visual of how the box would be...

any info would be great....thanks

Built a 3.4cu.ft box with a 3x7 16" long external port for my powerbass 3xl. Hopefully thats not too much air space for one 12"...

I tried this orientation in my car because my seats dont' fold down. It sounded like ***. Now, a bandpass port firing though there is a different story...

I also built a box that had the sub and port firing through the armrest (pictured below) and I gained almost 4db just by turning the box around even though after this pic was taken I added an extension that sealed the box to the backseats.

But, don't take my word for it, if you have the time and inclination, build a few boxes and try them out.
