slot port question

Building a new box, for my explorer. I have never built a ported box before. Plenty of sealed but no ported. Building a box for 2 12" infinnity kappa perfects with one slot port. Infinity reccomends 1.75 per sub (3.5 total internal volume) is this including port volume, or is that a displacement just like the sub itself, should I add the volume of the slot port to the volume of the box, or is that already included?

nevermind, did some research, the port is considered displacement just like the sub and must be added to the volume so the box has to be a little bigger.
