ok and what are baffles? is that another name for an aero port?

no, a baffle is the piece of the box where the sub is mounted. for instance on my sub down in my sig, the baffle is that front piece that the sub and ports are mounted to

hmmm i dont seem to understand what u mean and i cant really see in pic...so a baffle is on the box and it is what the sub mounts to?

the baffle is the piece that the hole is cut out of for mounting the sub

ok so if i got a box that is ported and double baffled than there would be 2 holes and the baffles are the cut outs for sub and port...correct?

double baffle means the surface that the sub is mounted to is 2 layers of mdf sandwhiched together for strength

and the baffle isnt the cut out, it is the surface the sub is mounted to
