Ha ha you know what I would do, I would look into all those pictures of Blacks being killed by white crowds..

Find EVERYONE that was there and file charges on them, reguardless of age.

If you watched a black man die from a hanging or beating, etc, ha ha jail time for you..

That would be kind of cool..

I honestly dont think you know the impact that would have on not only the economy but the nation as a whole. Slaping a slave tax on some guy that is doing well for him self just because of a mistake that his ancestors made is ridiculous. How would you like to be held accoutable for the short comings of your ancestors...Im sure that somewhere down the line they made a few mistakes just like everyone else has. It is ridiculous to even think about this...as others have mentioned the Government has already done ample for the minorities of this nation. I believe its time people stopped asking for handouts and got out and did some work.
Again, I'm not promoting handouts.

I'm an economics major, you'd be surprised at some of the ridiculous wealth these former slave families/companies have. Not only that, but the economy would get a great return on its investment by bringing inner-city poor folks up out of there. I realize its a very idealistic thought and having that come about would be nothing short of impossible, but I feel its the right thing to do. And if my billions of dollars came from purely slave labor from 150 years ago, I would gladly recognize the horrible things my great-great whatever- grandparents had done and give something back. Is that really too much to ask? I dont think so.

If it were possible to find those who KILLED them (obviously not those who simply watched), they why not?

Nope if you watched you are going to jail too..

Whats that law where you see someting going down and don't do anything..

I am sure you could easily track these people down, and once you have a couple they will start squealing and spilling the n ames of others..

Im still in disagreement. Though I do admit that there are still families around that were wealthy in the early to mid 1800s that are still wealthy today. Most of the current wealth more than likely didnt come from slave labor. I dont think its fair if some millionaires great great great great grandfather was as cotton plantation owner, but he made his millions in the computer industry. IMHO thats not fair to take money from him.
