i got a question for all you car audio buffs out here. I have a Pioneer head unit its the DEH-P7600MP series. if your playing a cd and you hit the audio button it has a a feature called slant, can anyone of yall give me a detailed description of what it exactly does. ive got it pushing my 2 12 inch mtx thunder 5500's with an

audio tech 2400 watt mono block amp. it sounds like it boost my high's and my sub bass but im not sure i need to know weither or not i need to leave it alone or not? it goes from -4 - +4. i have it set on +1

I do not believe it's "slant", I believe it's just "SLA", which stands for "Source Level Adjustment".

Basically, it uses the FM radio as a reference. Then you can adjust the "source level" for any other sources (such as the CD player, an external changer, etc) in relation to the FM radio. So, if you set it to anwhere between +1 and +4 for the CD player, then the CD player will be louder (the entire bandwidth, not just the highs and subs) at any given volume setting than the FM radio. Likewise, if you set it to anywhere between -1 and -4, it will be quieter than the FM radio for any given volume setting.
