What does 25hz sound like on your system? I might be getting an odd noise on a song that was edited by 'roux that I think falls below where my subsonic is set to.
Sounds fine...I've mostly played 30hz+ but did a few sweeps and never got any funny noises. You will need to be careful below tuning in your over sized box.. you could probably easily bottom that sub out. I've yet to bottom them out..but my enclosure is a little smaller and I don't have a lot of power. Upping the power soon so ill see what happens.

Yeah I'm not sure if its bottoming out to be honest, it doesn't sound like the coil hitting the magnet or anything. (Not that I constantly play 23hz songs haha).

Its possible its bottoming out...or maybe you're getting "coil rock" or something since the enclosure is so large.. not sure. Just be careful with it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif yeah I don't play too low often either..but its fun to see how low ya can go sometimes. Going to be installing a new amp soon. More power+ adjustable subsonic filter. Going to see what the 8s can do in the low 20hz region. Lol ill be careful with them though. :p

It does occasionally sound like a "small" flap which I'm guessing is a little bottoming out,

get an SK1500.1 (or 2500.1 once its released) its got a 10hz subsonic //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Actually quote from some guy on another forum, this is what I hear when I get closer to the 25hz range

Fluttering is air noise as it gets ****** in and out of the port. Flared ports help reduce this noise, but can still be there
I don't have flared (or aeros) they're just straight tubes. Maybe its port noise.

That's possible too. Just don't go around banging 20hz tones non stop and you should be fine. Lol

Nah I won't I don't even play 20hz just a few songs that pass/stay in the 23-25hz range for a few seconds is all, just the fluttering shocked me but now I know its port noise I'm fine(good thing its only audible at 23hz)

Damn skippy!!
I am finally close to getting two VVX-12's installed, and will be sending each one around 800WRMS via SAZ-1500d v2 wired to 1 ohm, and will have each in a custom sealed fiberglass enclosure at around 1.4cubes.

Your results make me wonder where I may end up metering...

Did you post, yet, how much you're feeding each of your 10's?
Needa' go ported, bro..

Hear ya, but I am more interested in SQL, not so much in getting loud.

OP's results were impressive enuff to get me excited, tho...but I doubt I can expect to do much more than low 130's.

No room for porting the way I am planning my install, anyway: stealth boxes under rear seats, and having to custom build outta fiberglass since MDF would only give me between .69 and .74 cubes due to thickness
