Sirius Satellite Radio and Factory antenna?

I just purchased a new Kenwood hu and I am planing on installing it this weekend along with the Sirius receiver that I have. My question is, is there a way for me to use the factory sirius antenna? It has 2 connectors, and my receiver only has one input for the antenna. The guy at the local shop says he can use the factory antenna, but I do not want to pay to have it done if it is somewhat easy to do and I can manage it. If anyone knows how to make this work please let me know.

what does the connector look like, I have a 2006 Dodge Ram and the end of the antenna wire had a yellow plasic square w/ a red clip to hold it in place. If yours is the same setup, I can help you out.

Let me know

Hey I just looked at my receiver and it has one yellow square with a red clip like yours. I am assuming that I just sonnect that to my receiver, correct? Also, What do I do with all the wires on my factory Sirius receiver? Do I just tie them up and out of the way?

Yeah....just disconnect the yellow clip, there is a little press button type thing you have to press to disconnect from the receiver. Than just CAREFULLY pry the red clip from the side off the top of the conector and just pull the yellow cover off the antenna. Here is a pic after it is apart

hope this helps

I am, but not at the moment. I have to wait until I get some more money. I think I will have my wife get it for me for Christmas. I wish I could have got it when I ordered my HU. I would have saved a about $150 or so, but I splurged on the deck as it is. That was the one condition my wife gave me; that I picked up a Hu that I could add on Nav later.

*edit*

Also I need to pick up my comps, coax, and an amp first.
