OK, so i now know preety much on what i need and how to build my own box. my final obstical is as follows.. my box has to be 6.4 cubic feet so could someone fill in the blanks for me in inches or feets...................

LENGHT___________?

WIDHT____________?

HEIGHT___________?

SO . now if its 6.4 cubic feet what would be my measurements, thks 4 the help if u can

Sealed, correct?

You do realize that there are an infinite combination of dimensions that would add up to that volume, and you need to specify one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yeah man, you gotta determine two of the distances before we can help you. If you have a maximum height to be able to fit in your trunk, or a maximum width, or a maximum depth. By maximum, I mean the biggest that it can be and still be able to fit in your trunk/area.

Also, sealed or vented makes a difference. If you need it to be 6.4 cubes after all displacements, you have to take into account the displacement of the sub. If it is vented, you need to make a vent that will also subtract internal volume.

it will be ported. 2 ports per sub so a total of 4 ports. they are for a 15'' mofo. i am going by thier specs

Assuming that you use 3/4 inch material, the following outside diameters will give you 6.399 cubic feet of airspace....
50" x 13.5" x 20.5"
lenght x width x hight ....is this correct?. sorry for so many questions but i want to do this right.

i am going to measure my trunk right now, brb

yes. to find area all you have to do is take the length, width, and height in inches, and multiply them together. example 12"wide x 12"long x 12" tall = 1728 cubic inches. There are 1728 cubic inches in a cubic foot, so that would be one cubic foot.

ok my trunk has two options to go with

1) lenght- 3ft. 7''

width- 2ft. 4''

hight- 1ft. 11''

2) length- 4ft. 8''

width- 2ft.

hight- 1 ft 5 ''

ok so whta you guys think is best and whats those final measurements. thanks to all so far you are helping me alot, i wanna build this baby this weekend.
