i recently got a trunk kit of Secondskin Damplifier Pro to install and review. as many of yall know, i have 18 tens in my trunk on 2 ss xxx6500d's. and i already have a layer of damplifier pro on my trunk lid. with just that my trunk lid does not flex as nearly as much as before. but the side panels in my trunk flex and rattle like crazy(as many of you have complained to me about lol). so, my main concern was how best to install this product on the panels that flex and rattle the most. yes, the hole trunk will be don, but on the side panels and the trunk lid, i felt the need to come with something the could help the damplifier pro greatly reduce flexing on those large panels that wave at ya when you crank it up. so i came up with this. adding ridges to the secondskin to give it a "back bone".
and yes, i know that their no totally flat panels like this test panel in nearly all cars. but you can simply cut the sticks to the shape of the panel and still get the same effect.
pix and vids of the test panel.
