Simple batt question

I gotta get a new battery because mine is smaller than stock and may contribute to my voltage issues... I'm getting an optima. The question is redtop or yellowtop? The yellow is considerably more expensive... Is there much of a difference?

Yellow top is a starter battery and a deep cycle...

A red top is just a starter battery.

Some people on here believe that you can damage a Red Top using it in car audio, but a Yellow top is made for quick charges/discharge situation...

I have always been recommended and used Yellow tops and never had an issue. So it is what I recommend.

I was always told deep cycle are for slower charges and discharges, whereas a starter battery is made to charge and discharge faster... Like to work a starter.

Don't get me wrong, unless you are running something that is pulling a shit ton of amps then you should be fine with the Red Top...
