silk tweeters

i was wondering. any of you guys prefer silk tweeters personally?

im about to get a new set on comps and it consists of silk dome tweeters.

is this a good peice? for music, i listen to rap, R&B for that deep bass, and rock and techno as well.

Diaphragm material does make up some of the sound but the entire tweeter design is more responsible for the overall sound.

I end up liking a lot of silk dome tweeters, but it is ultimately the design as a whole that I like.

yeahh i think i like silk tweeters too. it just sounds reallly nicee. you hear practically everything.

Soft domes usually have a smoother sound vs. a hard dome that tends to be sharper......usually

(as already stated, design can negate either of these assumptions)

after i get those comps. i'll get a new amp to power that and bridge that amp to my other amp for my subs. it's going to be a nice set up.

for that tweeter, where in the car would be a perfect place to put it near the dash?

Indeed... My dad always talks about these Natural Gas tweeters, said they are the most awesome thing he ever heard.

for silks i would mount them on the A pillar and swivel it towards yourself

i hear swivelling them against the windshield works good too

since the sound bounces right back but personnally not sure if i would

do that
