my and my friend went into CC to go look at the infinity reference subs cause he doesn't have alotta money but loves the sound of infinity. so i'm showing him what the different specs mean and the usual employee strolls in there and is like "why u lookin at that. i'll show u what's loudest" i'm like we're not looking for loudest, but show me anyway. he points to 2 10" mtx 4500s..........next to a 15" L5. i'm thinking wtf dude, that isn't legit. hes like yeahh it's 20" vs 15. then i was like not true...but wte i've had all the help for today i need. so on my way out i look at the wiring kits and they only had 8awg. i was like broly, u got this in 1/0 gauge? hes like what the **** r u running that u need 1/0? resonant engineering SX 15 off a PG tantrum 1200.1. that shit? stick with those mtx's in there and you'll crush whatever those things are. thanks................and now i've vowed to not go back into CC ever again.

The thing about big box stores is that you need to treat them like grocery stores, you go in already knowing what you need.

The only difference is that there is an annoying person trying to tell you what you like to eat.

I wouldn't boycott the whole place because of some poor slob who's trying to make a buck. They're people just like us who have bills to pay and babies to feed, they just don't know what they are talking about.

If you go into the store with the intended purpose of proving that you are smarter then the salesman you actually only hurt yourself, as there is no way he will ever give you a good deal if he thinks you are mocking him.

x2 i work there too, and if we like to keep our jobs!!! we have to sell what we carry. so dont start saying shit about the people that work there they need the job u are a careless kid that dosent work, and ***** about people who work for a living, they dont car about other brand like alpine or anything they just tell u what the best is for what they start selling

It's amazing what these kids that come in will buy. Just yesterday I sold a kid a loaded 12" cvr box, pioneer 7700mp, kicker 600.1, 4gauge wiring kit, tsunami(sp?) rca's, and some sound deadener... ended up coming out to about 1700 with CC advantage. I feel like an *** for selling him the stuff, but he wanted the loudest we had.

Ohh my manager knows jack shit about car audio. I asked him if we had any prefab ported boxes and he replies "no but we have some slot boxes"..... aka slot port. The senior salesman in our car audio department doesn't even know ohms laws...

hey people, don't hate on me..i was helping my friend cause he can't afford alot and i asked the sales person if he had a spec sheet and he was like what specs u want...i say vas and qts...he stares at me blankly.......then i went into home audio and the sales person told me that the car audio salesman was..i quote.."a dumbass who got hired because his father is the manager"
