ive had the Q and the mag....i love the mag...love it....anyone know the actual output of a SAZ1500D @ 1 ohm...cause i think i might be giving my mag a little more than rec. RMS

Mine did around 1680 at 12.8v. I ran a 1500 to a Mag for a while, and it did fine, I wasn't worried at all. Did 144.8 @ 44hz out of the trunk seats up, legal on the dash also. Box was tuned to 32hz.

Yours did 1680 @ 1 ohm? ****, I thought it was a little over 1500 @ 12 volts?

if a 12 volt system is 12 volts why does my voltage meeter sit idle at 14.4...

and if so then whats that amp doing at 14+ volts?

Your voltage sits at 14.4 so your battery will charge.

The "system" by it self is 12volts. With the engine on, rotating the alt charges the system and most alts are supposed to run in the 14.1-14.5 range.
