SI Mag vs Fi Q vs AA Havoc

Tossed up between the three, I'm waiting to see what the new mag is going to go for. I'm looking for an sql setup that'll play a little of everything but mainly rock. I'm thinking either a 12" ported or sealed or a 15"sealed (I don't want to lose my whole trunk). Which sub would you buy?

Also I've heard the Q and the havoc can have a tinsel slap problem, does anyone know if either the upcoming version or the last version of the Mag has woven tinsels? And how much of a problem is the tinsel slap?

It'll be powered by the SX1250.1 in my sig. (it's a kicker SX1250.1 Birthsheet at 1420 watts)

i know my mag (1st and 2nd gen) didnt have lead slap. only the 1st gen had woven tinsels.

The new gen Mag will have sewn on tinsel leads, not woven, but there should be no slap.

Fatigue that could lead to failure of the wire.

Is the 1250 too much power for a mag? I see they're rated at 900 watts while my amp is birthed at 1400, would something like an ID max be a better fit then the other subs?

The Q with BP option would take it.

1250 is just fine on the Mag.

Both are great drivers. I have owned Mag 12 and 15, and just got FI Q 12 with BP. In similar boxes with same power both sound really good. I think the mag was a little more natural sounding on Rock to me, but otherwise they sound quite a bit alike. FI will cost you less , but there are a few used mags floating around as well. I would say the Mag if you can find one used. But new vs. new the FI costs a lot less, providing the new mags have saimilar price point.

Well, I love my 15" Mag. I have it sealed (2.5) and running off the Sundown SAZ-1500. It sounds extremely natural and hits lows very well. It's very loud and did a 140.7 on a TL, legal, @ 45hz to give you an idea of a measurement.
