Shutting off

Ok my amp I have going to my speakers is just a small 250 watt one that used to work fine then I unhooked it and redid the wiring cause it was crapy the first time around... and now when i turn my car on the amp turns on for about 2 seconds then the light dies out what could be the problem?

recheck your power and ground..maybe even ur remote..
