shortening rca cables?

I searched and found nothing. Im gonna have about 6 extra feet left over and It seems like it would be hard to keep the left and right wire strait if I tried to shorten it. Do you guys normally just hide the extra cable somewhere or cut it?

well, its just the actual wires for the rcas are twisted and the same color. I don't really get it either I guess I have to hide them.

probably hide it...there are two cables,right and left...inside each cable are 2 wires,a pos and a neg.keeping everything correct would be a pain.Or you could just get shorter cables.
