/Agreedword.junk yards are fun.
There is a lot of them out that way, my brother bought a lot of jeep parts there for pretty cheap. I've never used them personally, Athens Auto Recycle may have what you need I will check for you if you can let me know your year make and model. They don't bargain at all on prices but often they are very cheap.I was told it was out on 67 on into the Priceville area. I've personally never even been to a junkyard so I dunno for sure where this place is. Have any experience with them?
Yeah man, they'd prob charge you $200+ each at a stealership for them.Is 75-80 a reasonable price though? I honestly have no idea what a door panel would be worth.
Call the dealership, ask them how much, and also look online for them.Is 75-80 a reasonable price though? I honestly have no idea what a door panel would be worth.
I lowball them all the time. The first price they give I usually say "I can get thm brand new for that price" and they usually take 50% off right there. That seems to always work. Well at the ones in ST pete, and the junkyads up here.Yeah man, they'd prob charge you $200+ each at a stealership for them.
I wouldnt shop for everything at a junkyard, but things like body panels, interior items, ect. that wont effect how the car runs. Junkyards are a go.
Just go in there and ask to see what parts they have for your cars make/model.
If you go in there asking and looking for 1 specific item, they know you want it and usually wont budge. However if you're just looking around to get spare parts but dont really need them, they can sense that you dont really care if you do or dont buy an item and will usually drop prices.
Lowball them (20-30% of asking price lol), if they object, screw it you dont really need it. Throw in an offer that a bit higher and usually they just figure wth, a sale is a sale.
