Shocker ss or ed k?

I'm debating on weather or not to get a shocker ss or a edk. I've heard people say that shocker can get better SPL than edk's and thats what i want, i want all out SPL maybe a little SQ. Right now i have 2 15" rockford punch z's and im not getting the bass i want, they are junk subs and i really want to upgrade, im mainly looking for 15". does the shcokers come in 15"? and who makes shocker? can u guys help me out?

Shockers are all-out SPL subs. Not a hint of SQ. And they come in 15's. Their site is http://www.shockeraudio.com, although I think it's down.

So the shockers have no SQ at all and they sound bad? If u could choose either the shocker ss or the 15edk whcih would u choose?

Well, I'm an SQ guy, so I'd take the K's (I've had them before, but they got stolen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif - but my next subs are more than likely gonna be K's). But if you want pure SPL, Shocker will kill the K.

Sorry to hear u had ur k's stolen, that has to ****. i'd be putting the subs in a big sealed box, not sure of the dimensions. They'd be going in the back of something kinda like a jeep wrangler where its open, kinda like putting it in the back seat of a car, i dont want the subs i choose to sound bad but i do want a lot of spl, so if i did choose the shocker would they sound really bad in a sealed box in an open area?

What you want is an RE sub. SPL-oriented, but still a good amount of SQ.

I think im gonna go with the 15edk's because they are more within my price range and i have heard nothing but good things about them. The msrp on the RE SE15" is $284, i could get 2 15k's for like $10 more and u said u would choose the k's, thanks for the help

Thats MSRP...call up RE, or e-mail em, they can give you the direct price...it's a lot less than $284

If $284 isn't the price then why would they have it on their site? How come they just dont replace the msrp price to the direct price, they might get more people to buy their stuff

doesn't work like that.. RE has real world dealers to satisfy.... so msrp is the price you're shown..
