How much difference will I get from an amp on my speakers?

I have Pioneer 6.5s in the front, and RF FRC3269 6x9s. I also have a Kenwood KDC-MPV619. Its 22x4 RMS. If I bought an amp for my speakers, would I really notice a difference? All 4 of my speakers (I think...CC threw away the box for my Pioneers) can handle 75 watts RMS. If I gave the, 75 watts RMS, would it be like "WOW", or be like "I think I can tell a difference?..."

yes, youll be able to tell a differnce.. if u have your speakers ran off your Hu, then each speaker is gettin like 15-25 watts each..even though your HU may say 45x4 or 5x4.. ... their not....so if u put 75 watts to each speaker.. youll be able to tell... and what part of GA r u from?

You will see a big difference. I hooked up four Pioneer 6x8s in a Ford Taurus, off of HU power (Deh-p6500). They sounded less than steller, they were distorted, and the bass output wasn't what i wanted. I hooked them up to an Eclipse 3640 (60 x 4), and they now sound ALOT better than I expected. They are no longer distorted, and sound very good. From now on, i will be hooking amps to my speakers. I know that.

i agree with what everyone has said thus far, the swap from HU powered speaks to Amp powered speaks is phenominal. They will get louder, will go slightly deeper, and cleaner all around. You wont be dissapointed. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
