so today I was messing around with this old computer power supply, to try and rig it so I could us it for somthing else. I take the cover off but forget to unplug it and I tought the bottom of the curciut board and get the shit shocked out of my little pinky. I pulled back and was like jesus Im I dumbass. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

one time in electronics class.....

this guy stuck a pair of pliers in a desk outlet. the lights went out, and my teacher called him a sh!t head. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

In 3rd grade I stuck the wires of a chrismas lightbulb in an electric outlet and it blew up and left a black mark on the wall, but I didn't get shocked so thats good

I've already told my 'worst-shock story' here, so i'll skip that...

But when my new amp arrives, I'm definitely posting a DMM reading of the several hundred volts on the B+ rails //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Just remember to always work with one hand in your pocket, and be mindful of what's grounded and what's not.

It is...a friend's 1.5kW RF amp has a 3200+ volt power supply feeding the finals. I got scared working around that thing - knowing what that kind of voltage can do to an air gap. I forget what the dielectric constant or breakdown voltage for air is...but it's low enough to get worried working around HV stuff //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i was working in lab and we boiled something up to 400 degrees F. forgetting it was hot, i took the thermometer (it's the metal kind) out and grabbed the metal rod. it was hot.

this has nothing to do with electricity but i just want some sympathy.

many many times i've been plugging things in to a surge protector with one hand and i've had my fingers on the plug while i'm plugging it into the socket and not looking (ie hooking up computers under a desk and stuff) and have gotten a nice buzz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif weird feeling lol
