i'd say get the JBL 600.1. the extra power per sub over ~350-400 watts RMS won't make that much of a difference in SPL or SQ

To me, the 600.1 is plenty.

To others, they want that added amount of balls under the hood. In that case, the 1200.1.

My own listening tastes and needs would say the 600.1, but you have to make the call there.

i really want it to be a loud sq system(if at all possible). would i need a new alt/battery if i ran 2 shivas and a 1200.1 jbl amp?

dammit left something out again. would it be a good chance of blowing the subs if i got the 1200.1?

it'll survive if you know when to back up when heavy distortion hits. just be smart with the gain and you should be fine.
