Dayton DVC series is a clone of the Adire Shiva... both made by the same build house, Eminence. I thought it was common knowledge.

T/s params are vastly different though. It may look the same and hold some of the same characteristics, but it's no shiva.

Still a great sounding speaker though.

Actually, the specs are within normal "tolerances" of each other. For all intent and purpose the 12DVC is a "clone" of the original Shiva. Many, many people (myself included) have used the Dayton in the same size enclosures as the Shiva and the response is very similar. The Dayton is arguably a better looking driver and has spring loaded speaker clips instead of the cheap terminals on the Shiva (no disrespect to Adire, as I have owned many of their drivers.)

They have a reputation for very good sound quality... do a search on shiva, you should find a ton of info.. they are legendary good bang for the buck subs. $50 ea. shipped.

anybody have experience with mach 5 and this sub to compare them? I have a maw 15 but would like to change to a dual 12 setup and this is the only 2 sub setup I could actually afford.
