shipping weight of HC?

I have an older style RE HC... 12 spoke basket, the cover plate on the bottom of the motor to cover up an onyx logo... I thought the weight of it was ~30 lbs. I weighed it a long time ago on an analog scale, and it read somewhere around 30 lbs.. I put it on an electronic scale and it said 41?

Can anyone help me out here?

Wow...I didnt believe it when i looked down at the scale, but I guess it was true then...

i have a 2003 12" RE HC, it weighs 41lbs too
