This is my Rockford P2, 15''. 8ohm, 250rms-500max. I had it bridged to my P800.2, I know i was giving it more watts than it could handle but i thought if i kept the sub volume in my H.U. low it would all be ok but it wasnt, here is what happend...

here is her full view

Huh?

Is there something I'm not seeing here...I see a broken tinsel lead, which could be re-soldered...about the simplest subwoofer fix out there.

Unless I'm not seeing anything else...

It's not dead, get a soldering iron, and get that tinsel lead back on there. Kinda looks like the little piece of metal from the terminal rubbed through and cut the wire. Maybe cover that piece with some tape or something.

damit u r soo right, the bass vibration musta cut it, oh by the way i didnt know i could solder it, thkz dough, could i use something like rosin

Easy fix. And It looks to be caused by over excursion. You probably pulled on those leads untill they either a.) snapped or b.) rubbed on the piece of metal.

Either way it's such an easy fix. If you do not feal like fixing it I'll be glad to take it off your hands for some cash.

Resin helps solder stick???
Not the typical fibreglass resin. Soldering resin (also known as flux) is different.

Flux is used to help keep oxygen out of the connection and helps to float contaminants to the surface. It may also help to conduct the heat to the components. Virtually all solder designed for soldering electronics has a core which contains flux. When buying solder for electronics, make sure the flux is not an acid flux. Acid flux is used to solder non electronic components like sheet metal.

I know not fiberglass resin. sheesh you think I'm a tard?

First sentance - This is what stick means.

Last sentace - Notice the "May" remark meaning undetrmined.

It's main purpose is for the solder to stick to what ever you are soldering, be it wire or a resistor. Though I'm sure it does help displace heat.

Yeah I took basic electronics courses.
