trying to buy some subs. found someone who has them for sale at a good price. when he bought them they came loaded in a box built to factory specs. nice box. I don't happen to need/want the box. I am putting the speakers in a custom enclosure. I tell the seller I'll buy them for his full asking price if he'll remove them from the box, give me more pics, and send them without the box to save me shipping costs. He's refusing to remove them. I'm not buying them. Did I just avoid being scammed? or am I sweating a couple extra bux on shipping for nothing?

sounds like someone didnt want you to see inside the box or he didnt want to stuff it up incase you didnt buy no help i know but lesson earned buy elesewhere dude from here perhaps itll be safer to deal witth people who want to sell to other ppl of the car audio persuasion

it's a member of this site. not naming him because for all i know he's a good guy, and just doesn't want to jump through hoops for someone who might not buy. I just can't take those chances.
