Sept 11..

so if you had a family member that died that day. forget he/she ever died.
No, but you also need to get over it eventually, seriously by keeping up the whole whine and pity party it is doing exactly what the terrorists wanted to do. My grandpa died of a heart attack 8 years ago, it didn't make the news, a whole country didn't weep, but was it any less tragic for our family than 9/11 was for those who were affected by it, not at all, but I don't let it run my life like these people seem to.

how would you know if i did or didn't have a family member die that day? if i took a 'day off' or a break on every anniversary that one of my relatives died, id never get shit done. look over at your clock, im willing to bet its still ticking. look outside tomorrow, id also be willing to bet there will be birds outside chirping/shitting/fucking or doing w/e else birds do. its kind of like when you get fucked over by your g/f. yeah it hurts, but you gotta move on bc if she sees that youre still hung up about it, she knows shes got YOU by the balls PLUS someone else. right now, the terrorists have had the U.S. by the balls for 7 years...

I didn't say you shouldn't move on. ofcourse you move on with life. but like you said you break up with a girlfriend or get dumped yeah you move on.. but sometimes you think about that relationship.. or mayb YOU don't. but some people do.. some people look back at what actually happened its not that they didn't move on.. they just remeber the past. i thought about it being 9/11 tomorrow and it came to mind was all. i lost no one that day. but its just something to remeber i guess

Im a firefighter we still keep them in our prayers because we do not know when it will happen to us.

Yes, an older person dying of natural causes is quite similar to a mass murder of many people in the prime of their life.

i just broke up with my girl friend (first love) about a month ago and STILL think about her everyday. shit, i still even have dreams with her in them sometimes, but i dont let her know that...

And just so you "kids" know....

You remember things that happened because when you forget them you let your defenses down and the same thing will happen again.

Then another 3,000 or so people die because of no reason.

If it was a bunch of drug dealers that shot each other I would agree and say lets just forget about it.

But when you think it was INNOCENT people that died. Grandmothers, Mothers, Grandfathers, Fathers, Sons, Daughters, Babies...all died for what? Its pretty ****ing disrespectful that you guys say "just forget it, its been 7 years"

Hope you get to make the decision of jumping to your death out of a 50 story building or burning up in a fire.

You kids can forget, but you are also the kids that would be the first ones to hide behind a skirt if a war broke out here.

Its cowards that don't respect and remember any type of tragedy
