Those fires were not as hot and not as intense. Also, the construction of the WTC aided in the collapse, it was not as strong as the ESB based on it's construction method, you really should educate yourself in this. the Empire State Building was hit by one plane, a small B-25 bomber that is bout the size of a Cessna, don't try and tell me that a Cessna and a 757 are equal.
So your saying that the some 80+ floors below the impact area should have no resistance as the top 20+ floors give way??? Come on its right in front of your eyes. I agree that the design of the buildings did make it weak compared to some but the inner colum of those towers were the strongest of its kind... There where 6 foot square colums 4+ inches thick... They say if the floors pancaked like they keep saying then the center colum should still be standing. Just look at the pics after the collapse when they are cleaning up the debris.. you can see the colums were cut at an angle. the same angle as prima cord would cut.... (i know spelling sucks)
