seperate chambers?

Just finished up my box for my 12's and was wondering if i need to seal it into 2 separate chambers or if its fine all as one. The box is 2.5 cubes before displacement.

not a huge difference. Two nice things about sealed off chambers. One, dividing wall acts as a brace. Two, if one blows, you can still keep the one in.......

ok, i just test fitted the subs in the box and when i push one the other one moves, is that going to cause cancellation on the subs or with power going to them it be fine?

i ran 3 jl 10w6 in a single chambered box and it was awsome some of the tightest bass i ever herd so i think you will be fine

like you push the cone in on one and the cone on the other moves out?

yes, that should happen...common sense physics....

Haha exactly, you push one in decreasing internal volume of the box and create pressure, making the cone of the other sub move out

thanks for all the reply's. Its just been so long (like 3 years) since ive ran sealed so i couldn't remember. I got a feeling im gonna be building a ported box in my short future
