Selling my Eclipse CD7000 and getting a JVC KD-AVX33

Well I've had my eclipse for a year now, need a change up on my HU. I want a DVD receiver but I don't want the big 6.5" flip out screen because it will cover my clock and AC ducts.

The only single din dvd receiver that looked good was the JVC KD-AVX33 with a 3" screen.

Am I downgrading in sound quality from eclipse to the jvc? There seems to be some decent reviews on the unit though...

Does anyone know if the JVC can use a GPS module?

hmmm, i also just discovered the JVC KD-ADV38

What's the diffrence between the KD-AVX33 and the KD-ADV38 ??

Is the ADV38 a new one? I can't find the difference?, lol

The x33 has been getting SQ raves over at TalkAudio, but don't expect much from the USB support.

Ya I'm leaning towards the KD-ADV38 because it has a 3.5" screen and has gold plated pre-outs at 5v (meaning better SQ right?)

what do you mean in terms of the USB support? Do you mean it is not a practical way of controlling a hard drive or ipod?

Get the JVC KD NX5000 ...that unit is awesome...I have one in my Explorer....

Look over at TalkAudio. It's slow, and the screen isn't helpful.

ive used a kd-nx5000 it sick as fu CK. it has built in nav. beautiful screen, optical outs, 7 band ieq, 3 pairs preouts, 2.5v, bluetooth, ipod control, and more.

it nice and for 620 on ebay it cant be beat imo
