sell w6s for alpine type-r?

i have a ported box that was built for my 2 JL12w6's, 3.5cu@32hz before port. i can sell my w6s to buy 2 new type-r's and have funds left over. i want more SPL and be able to push my bxi2006d to these 2 subs without hesitation. i know the type-r can take major abuse and replacements are fairly priced. unlike the w6, replacement = $$$

what do u guys think? how much spl and sq difference can i expect from swapping over subs?

there v2's. their rated for 400wrms and predicting their getting 800-900wrms a piece from the bxi2006d. (over) 2x the rated power

I would not switch from a W6 to a type - r. I've heard both and the type r just sounds like arsh. Course people have thrown up good numbers with an arg but if you are just solely looking for SPL I guess go with the type - r. If you want something that's closer to music, stick with the w6's.

they are really nice sounding subs...i wouldnt do it ...cause the r is just for being loud and killing babies

w6's sound much better but do not have the output of the r's.
