Security risk analyzer dudes

THIS IS NOT COMPUTER RELATED. This is like, a terrorist comes into an organization and shoots people because they didn't have a machine gun on top of their building, related.

This is probably silly, but is there an official organization, or individuals, that assess security risks to other organizations? I'm working on an article and I'd like to interview somebody that can assess the likelihood of a certain organization having a security breach because they haven't taken proper precautionary measures as a result of a lack of funding. Probably a long shot, but maybe somebody on here is in the security sector or something.

Risk management is usually part of the process when companies take on large® projects. If the project is too large or complex "consultants" are brought in to assist.

There are various forms of risk management. Just Google the term and you will find what you are looking for.

Yup, risk management is similar for both logical and physical security. For an interview maybe look for a physical security or possibly even an auditor service to contact.

But I'm a nerd, I usually skim over the physical security stuff and get to the fun part.

homeland security? they came to my work and gave us some standard pointers on keeping the place locked up

could ask the local hazwoper team. alot of companies are training on site personnel for on call response. im sure ur fire or poilce have some sorta unit. they dont really do prevention more response but might be able to help
