Sectioning a ported box?

I wouldn't do it.
You would have to be very. VERY precise to get the same tuning
yah i just was told that it was better to do that than just put all 3 in the same box using the sameairspace..i dont see how this could be bad in anyway..and i REALLY dont wanna have to take the box apart to do it.

So, are you trying to say you suggest against dual ported enclosures...?

And to OP: The pros with that is that if one driver dies, the other ones won't be put under more stress due to the excess space. The cons is, like Bunkerking said, you have to make sure all the ports are the same. If you use an aeroport, it won't be hard to achieve that.

I would always go with a common chamber over a dual port.

Well i was just making sure u all wouldnt be like "SEPERATE THEM JEEZUS CHRIST HURRY" ..i really didnt want to have toso I wont...it makes things alot easier for me..Im planning on 6x 12" type Rs in a wall in the future..like maybe summer..then i may seperate i dunno..or like 4x15s

You could do a 4th order bandpass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

I'd just suggest you not comment with so much bravado on things you're unsure of.

8th order is much more complicated... but I don't see the point.

As long as you get the airspace and ports right, there won't be any difference between separated chambers and a common chamber.
Alright then im def not going to section them.

Also i have another question but dont wanna make 500 threads so. Would 3x 12" Type Rs slam harder at 300w each than 2x type Rs12" at 550w each?
