SecondSkin "overkill" too, or only Damplifier?

Ordered 40 square feet for my front doors yesterday. Those things are going to be DEAD. Doing 2 layers inside the door, 1 layer outside. In December I'm going to deaden the trunk with liquid deadener & about 20 sq ft damplfier. Then I'll be doing a fiberglass box and amp rack for my 12w7 & amps. Then, around next April, I'll finish up the car by deadening the floor and rear doors. Ultimately I hope to have a VERY quiet ride. I wish I didn't have to wait in between but I don't have the money to buy it all at once. Also, it's probably best that I don't have to spend a whole weekend in my car. Last time I did that I was ready to kill someone (full audio install).

Wish me luck, this will be the first time I've deadened anything. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I'm concerned about one thing in this project. The doors have a HUGE gap in them and I'm not sure what to do to cover them. I considered finding some sheet metal somewhere and bolting it to the door, but I'm concerned that would just cause more trouble. Another fellow civic owner suggested using ensolite, but the idea of using foam to make a proper enclosure doesn't seem worth it. I'm trying to get the best mid-bass response I can. Any ideas?
