Second Skin Damplifier- Giant A+

I just got done deadening my doors (Don't worry, pics soon!) with two layers apiece of Second Skin Damplifier and the Speaker Kit. There has been a night and day difference. I have a pair of Tang Band 6x9 subs in the doors, and before they were.... there. You could hear em and all, but they didn't wow you. So, I figured deadening was the only way to do it. I picked Damplifier because I haven't heard anything but high praise for it, and very reasonable pricing.

But since I installed the deadener, all I can say is WOW! The difference is incredible. If you didn't know any better, you'd think there was a sub playing (I turned the L7 off). The Tang Bands play so much lower, cleaner, and my favorite, RATTLE FREE!

Ant, you have an excellent product. It does what it says it'll do, it sticks like crazy, it reduces rattles, and it Damplifies my midbass. Thanks!

Second Skin Damplifier- A+!

Sorry for crappy cell phone pics, but its all I had handy.

Bare door- very swiss-cheese like, eh?

The deadened door

Weatherstripping around the speaker because the door panel actuallty contacts the speaker, so the weatherstripping is to form a seal, and keep the panel from rattling on the speaker

Once I get the $$, I'm gonna deaden the liftgate. My L7 makes it rattle like a bish! I'll only use Damplifier, too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

... oh and I forgot to mention, Second Skin's customer service is top-notch. All emails were returned promptly, and all questions answered. Another big thumbs up there.

Bump for spreading the word about sexy sound deadener. I just popped in some rap songs and my midbasses are STRONG! Even though they're on 50w apiece, I can feel em in my chest and stuff.

ill stick with 62.5 ft of raammat which isnt to far behind, but i can imagine how 80 mil matting is nice :), but for the price not for me

Gad u liked deadening. I have zero road noise with just my front doors, front floor / bottum firewall, trunk lid, kick panels done. next to eliminate it 100% is rear floor and doors, then rear deck, then roof. Ive done 1 - 1.5 layers on floors, 1 layer inside 1 layer out on doors with triple behind the speaker and then foam, and then foam on entire panel. 2 layers on trunk lid.

Mike-

I have run fat mat on all my installs @ ~90 for 100 sg/ft and it works perfectly. So that better be really good stuff for the price.

I wish you could do a before and after on the speaker pads....I was in the market for some and you posted the..I guess it was luck. How long did shipping take?
I ordered last saturday night, Ant shipped out on Monday, and they were here on Thursday. The speaker pads are definately a nice product, too.
