Seatbelts really do save lives

do some ppl serously not wear their seat belt?..................its like second nature.........or is it not a law in some states?
I don't usually wear my seatbelt when I'm in town. I do if I'm on the highway though.

Thanks for the kind words. The driver who did this is a very nice man. He was from TX and stayed around for a while to help with my family. He was charged with reckless driving and could have faced jail time.He recieved 5 years of probation and I am OK with that as it was an accident. His companys insurance has paid all bills and I received a small but decent settlement with all future bills related to accident to be paid.

Dozy, back in the day I could back it up...now, not so sure. I havent been in a ring since. A blow to the head probably wouldnt be the best thing for me. Or a kick to the knee. Or an arm bar..lol

Glad to hear you're okay.

EDIT: just saw the pictures of you. i'm half surprised you didn't just walk to scenes and carry the cars on your back to their destination.

i'm glad you feel that way. it doesn't always work though.

my aunt and uncle were involved in one first cases of the Ford Explorer flipping due to the tires, my uncle was not wearing his seatbelt and my aunt was. My aunt was left paralyzed from the neck down, and my uncle only needed 4 stitches on his right knee. she died 6 years later from complications of being paralyzed....

but it's nice that you survived.

Glad to hear you're okay.

Anyway, that is one of the nastiest looking wrecks I have ever seen. And to think minez was bad, lol! Glad to hear you are almost back to 100% and your back working. Congrads to the recovery and good luck with the rest.

Wearing a seatbelt allowed me to walk away from a wreck that would have put me in a chair for life, or dead.

I don't care how short the trip is, people need to wear a seatbelt, it really does help.

Glad to see that youve recovered!

In VA, you can't be pulled over for not wearing your seatbelt. But, say for example, you get pulled over for speeding and your not wearing your seatbelt. Then you can get a ticket for it.
