Seas Lotus Performance or HD-62?

I currently have the HD-62's and I'm thinking of upgrading a bit if I can find the right deal. There are no dealers here that sell Seas speakers, so I have no chance to really audition them. Is this a significant upgrade over my current HD-62's? I've also been looking at the Focal Polykevlar and Utopia series, along with DLS Iridiums. Whatever speakers I choose will be powered by a Tru 4.65 bridged (200w x2). Any opinions?

The seas performance mids will have better clarity and accuracy. Both are about equal in midbass output. The vifa's midbass is more punchy while the Seas are more snappy.

I owned the Lotus Perfs for about 2.5 years...one of my favorite sets. IMO, they have quite a bit more potential than the HD-62, BUT they're nowhere as easy to use, especially if the tweeters aren't going to be mounted right by the mid. The passives leave a lot to be desire.

Nah, don't compete...only for my personal enjoyment. I didn't own the HD-62, but I've heard the eD eDi's a couple times, plus I did own the CL's, HD-62cf's, and HD-62ef's. I've also owned the Perfs, and have the Refs now. I come to my own conclusions.

i think ima try the seas lotus performance mids with my lpg's. i heard a set and was impressed and im wanting something better than my slc mids.

I have the PolyKevlar K3P set and I have to tell you, these sound phenominal! Much better IMO than the PolyKevlar KF series I replaced. The tweeter difference is night and day! WOW.

ok...as for Seas Lotus....extremely nice speakers! couple them with some ScanSpeak tweeters, either the D1 or R1 tweets...and you have one incredible set of components!
