sealing sunroof...

well sunroof is leaking and i dont use it alot anyways so what would be the best way to seal it shut period... i dont wanna weld the **** thing shut just wanna seal it off and try to make it not flex alot. any recommendations?

get some new weather stripping and make sure the latches are tight enough.... SIMPLE JACK...

yep, closed cell foam weatherstripping can do the trick - available in various thicknesses and widths.

silicone also works but smells like *** and makes a mess.

well i most likely wont be using the sunroof anymore if i seal it off so i want it to be solid, because i am gona try to do a wall build soon.

if its a shitty car weld it shut. If not do as above poster said and get some rtv

peel and seal over it .....do the whole roof for that matter...it will help SQ wise

well before this the sunroof was previously broken b4 i got the car. one of the tracks was broke so if u wanted it open u would have to help it a lil. but since i have had the car when i had the 15s in it not tryin to brag what so ever but it broke another piece of the sunroof. somehow it snapped a piece of the sunroof off so i am either gona seal it up or go to a local junkyard and replace it.

since u know the situation now what would you all do. seal it up forever or replace it.

cut some plexi glass for a tight fit and wrap the edges with weather stripping, Then if you need to, you can add deadner to the plexi and maybe cover that with a thin cardboard cover with matching carpet...
