sealing 15 focal sub good or bad?

i want to stick a utopia 38ux in either the footwell or between the seat but due to car room i can only do a sealed box. will this cause a problem with such a big sub?

the box says for ported boxes but i seen pictures or it in a sealed box. 450w norm and 900w max.

any feedback would be great

If Focal recommends to go ported, its probably going to sound best to go with their recommendations.

If you want to go sealed, it is usually 75% of the size of a ported box, as a starting point.

Like he said go ported the utopia line of subs are meant for ported enclosures but they do not need very large ones. For the best sq I would go with round ports over slot.
