Ok, first, please don't flam me lol. Well, I got my two 12" SEs in a sh*tty as can be box for temp purposes. It's too big and tuned wayy low, I know. Its 1/2" cheep plywood and it's 5.3 ft^3 after all displacements lol. Tuned to 28Hz and powered by an AQ1200d. Building a new fiberglass box soon. But these things are nice as can be. First vid is 20Hz, second is 20 then 30 Hz.

Holding a single note at long lengths of time has been known to cook coils. At extreme levels of course.

Oh, ok. I didn't know that. Well I won't be doing that again. This is the second day i've had them so good thing I wasn't pushing them that hard, and they never got hot. Thanks for the warning.

Yes it's worth it, even in your temp box. You're talking 5 mins of your time.

And yes, do NOT hold a 20hz note for that long, at all. That's a pretty low note bossman, and beatin on those subs at that frequency is not going to be kosher with them.

You can play test tones, it isnt goign to hurt unless you're out of tuning playing them hard.

And dont play them for 45 seconds at a time, a good 5-10 second note is more than sufficient to see what you need to.

to lowwwww... test tone with like 30-40hz

and make sure you tune higher with your new box
