guys, bro just got a new car(denali xl) and we are gonna put a new setup in it. he already has batts and he is orderin a HO alt and he already ordered an aq3500. off that power would 4 sdc 15's in a 16 cube box with 4 6" aeros or 2 hdc3 18's in a 12 cube box with 4 6" aeros be louder? ive heard the 18's arent very efficent and ive owned and or tested the sdc 15 and hdc3 15 but not an 18. i know the sdcs have a decent advantage in cone area too. wut do u guys think?

thanks guys, nah he wants to keep it pretty low power cuz he doesnt wanna have to buy another alt or any batts. also mlstrass u think 4 " aeros will be enough port for a daily beater tuned around 35?

16^3 needs 256^2 of port area, same as the HDC's. I'd just do a slot port in the middle and upfiring subs. Port will add a lot of bracing to the box. 4 4" would be way small for port area, even when using aero's.

Are you looking for a low end monster for playing a lot of C&S music, otherwise 38Hz will do fine. I've done a few 2 15" SDC boxes @ 38Hz and they kill on the lows off 600-750watts per sub.

nah we like 40-32 ish hz LOUD. i think his other box was sunwhere around 36hz for his 12's.i meant 4 6" aeros lol if not ill so 6 of um. i wanna do aeros cuz i hate building a slot and not being able to tune or ill do sum 10" sono tubes, we used two 8" on my friends two hdc3 15's and it sounds great.
