Won't affect performance one bit. I've epoxied shredded surrounds before and never noticed a difference after. This is nothing.

You MIGHT wanna throw a little epoxy/silicone on there to be on the safe side but you should be fine the way it is.

It's fine I've messed with subs that had 3+ inch splits epoxy'd and it doesn't affect performance.
