You're not making sense. You indicate is is alright to break the law because the government spends money, and now you chastise me for suggesting I follow your line of thinking?

It is for your records, it's a receipt not proof of validity of your liscense.

Technically, it is to prevent the cop from handing you a ticket. I've had my liscence suspended twice in the past, and both times the lady at the court cashier's box has said: "Make sure you hang onto this piece of paper and don't loose it, you'll need to show it to the officer if you get pulled over so they know your liscence is valid" That's the whole point of the document. Appearantly in michigan it doesn't clear out of the police computer network for quite a while. He had paid his ticket more then a month ago.

And thank you rawr for defending my friend. If these guys want to hate on someone who can't defend himself, let em. I never said we were perfect law abiding drones. But I know enough of the law to know that the incedent that happened should not have gone down that way according to said law.

I've met lot's of nice cops over the years who in that situation would have been more then understanding. In fact, the cop that actually pulled my friend over was real nice. But unfortunately the female officer with an appearant grudge agaisnt the world showed up & took over the show. Odds are she knew those tickets would get thrown out in court, but she did it anyway just to be an @ss, & towed the truck on top of it.

I do know from dealing with people that no one is ever in the wrong. It is always someone else's fault or abusing power or just being assholes.

Why should you care? Do you need us to believe your embellished story? Will it make you feel better that not only you, but others believe your side entirely?

Oh hells bells I just noticed your from Michigan. You must really have been a douchebag to get pulled over for speeding. The proper procedure would've been to file a court date and delay payment of the speeding ticket instead of willingly disobeying the law. Depending on county, you may have gotten it thrown out.

Forget it green you don't have to prove anything to them, good luck in the future hopefully you wont run into to many more officers such as this particular one, best that you don't give them any more reasons to pull you over!!!
