For looking at waveforms you just set it to AC volts and leave it on autoranging. It's very similar to using a DMM.

thanks,

just use it on acv and connect to the speaker outputs from your amp. you can use autorange or manually select the voltage...TPI meter is awesome...used for a decade+

you always want to tune your amps with the car running. that way you can tell if your getting engine noise and the amps will see the actual current rather than just a battery supplying it..
