I was over on CACO for the first time some months ago and since they have that stupid one inbox msg rule, i posted my cell number on the thread for the OP to contact me. We worked out a deal on 2 DD3512s for 250 shipped. (shuda known it was too good to be true, but he claimed to need the money for his lawyer to get custody of his daughter) I sent him 200 western union and agreed to send the other 50 after getting the subs. I was outta town when the package arrived. I had a friend pick it up from my house. She says the sub looks rough. when i get home the sub is a DD1512 thats all beat up. guy kept givin me excuses about bein broke and gettin a settlement check n ish. Police didnt really do anything since "i received a package" so i sold the sub to a guy who wanted to recone it on ebay. I still wanna get my hands on this punk!

anyone around Decatur Illinois?

I'm not normally one for this, but posting some info may help out. Perhaps if that user is active here(99%) chance they are. Then some one else will not take that risk. I can make a few calls as well to some friends in the area to see what they may or may not know about this person.

Just out curiosity, when did all this take place? I'm assuming he had no real reason for say you were getting 2 3500 subs and only sending one 1500 sub?

deal started July 12th.

I still have all the txt msgs from start to today. He said he really needed cash to get custody of his daughter and said if i sent him 250 he'd send me 2 DD3512s.

next thing i know, I'm staring at a busted up DD1512

Wow, sounds like a winner right there. I'm surprised the police did nothing as there is still a legal case(I just called my brother to verify).

thats where it gets sticky. The police said since i did get a package it wasnt technically fraud. They said to send the sub back with a sheet of paper saying what i ordered and see if i got a 3512 back. If i didnt get anything back i could *try* to get him for theft by deception. I thought this was BS when he told me. At any rate, i've since sold the sub so that route is out of question
