Saz-4500 or 2 AP-3000d's

yeah true that. but have you even used AP?
I used a little AP mini for the $150 challenge, but other than that... I wouldn't touch it. I have tested the almighty AP3k though and it was garbage. I don't just make my "opinions" up. If I haven't tested something or don't have personal expericnce with it, I keep my mouth shut. Which is exactly opposite of most people. The less they know, the more they give opinions. Lol.

The guy asked to compare AudioPipe to Sundown. To me, that's apples and oranges. It's not in the same tier of CA. There's solid gear and there's budget gear. The ONLY time I will ever NOT advise against AP is when somebody is hard headed about having to buy new and they ONLY have like $250 to spend and HAVE to have 3k. I'd rather see them get a solid 1500 or 2k for that much, but when someone get's "3000w" stuck in their head, you just can't talk them out of it.

There are worse amps out there, of course, but in my experience, AP is about as cheap and crappy as it gets that should even be mentioned on a CA forum.

So 2 DD m2a's would be good? maybe I could get the new ns-1 if i hit the lottery lol, other than that maybe the Obsidian O-3? Just coming out soon
Did you consider the AP AQX3500? They are the same build as alot of the "better" brands and have been benched to do over 4k wired at .5 daily. I personally run one at .6 and know 2 other people running them below 1.

Meh I like audiopipe but I'm gonna have to go with the SAZ. Much more efficient and reliable, and if you are running quite a bit over RMS you want clean power unless you want to be reconing subs. Yes, it is expensive but sundown and AP are on two completely different sides of the spectrum, and for the couple extra $$ might as well get the saz.

Sundown 4500 is one of the most reliable big amps on the market.

You can generally have American Bass 500.1, Atomic 5K ( and a dozen other 5K's that share same/similar boards) for 900$ on the used (or new if you know the right people) all day long. Just other options for a somewhat more reliable amp.

The difference between 5K and 6K would be around .5db at best (depending on the amps and impedence curve possibly less). Personally I'd go reliability over a few hundred extra "rated" watts.

the sundown are custom amps for the most part, as in they have pretty unique boards..

they are built to tighter tolarences and use very good parts..

they really have great amps..

I've been around and I can honestly say jacob does a good job on all his products..

as far as ap.. I'll have to talk to the engineers before I'd buy thier amps..

plain and simple..

the crescendo audio amps are good amps as well..

if you can maintain 14v the saz 4500 is good for 5500 at 1ohm..

remember power is nothing without control or efficiency..

I kinda changed up the setup idea. How about two saz-4500's on 4 nightshade 15's? I havent heard much on the ns-1 but if anyone knows anything about it then which would make more power? the ns-1 or 2 saz-4500's?
